Already pretty much been said,but got no complaints with the business done.Every player bought in got lots of Premiership experience,so no worries about any of them needing time to get use to the pace & physical nature of the Premiership.
Personally though on the last day of the window i would love to see Hughes put in a bid for a key Everton player.........Maybe Cahill? Not that we actually want him & would go through with the deal,but it would be worth it just to see Moyes's head about to explode!! :-)

Your not wrong mate, looking out from the stand on Sat its hard to beleive the players we have assembled in such a short time scale.

Dead right. If a poll had been taken last season as to the players who would be turning out this season, most would have been way off the mark. Wouldn't have included Gatito, Ade or Barry. The enormous stepping stone of actually getting quality players to come, no matter what shekels are on the table, has been overcome this window, and the lack of Euro opposition has not been a stumbling block. We have, on paper (always got to be a caveat with us blues), a formidable squad.

The 'birthday' anniversary of the takeover is this Monday, is it?.. This day should be marked every year. My mind is still blown by where we are now, and the future that's in front of us, compared with 12 months ago and further back. Happy, happy days... Every August 31st should be Official Sheikh Mansour Day...

I'm happy with the improvement in the squad, not so happy with the prices paid for two or three of them (understand that some don't care about that but I do).

If our original plan was to have this squad in three years I would have thought it quite unambitious so I'm glad it has been pushed ahead.

Still would have liked a few 20/21 year old "ones for the future" who could join the squad now, maybe not expect to play straight away but be in a position to help us fight for the title in a few years time. Someone like Aleksic is a positive (despite me never hearing of him before), and I think I'll be more excited about getting him in than spending £40 on the likes of Lescott, RSC etc.
