Well today put the question of worst fans to bed

You are joking, we got near the Crystal club at 2:30 after being held up in traffic, the Police blocked us from getting to the ground by parking vans, creating a cordon. About 10 minutes later they reversed ONE van and left a gap of about 3 feet to let us through, it kicked off as people were struggling to get through the gap.

My mate who is mid 70’s was shook up by it, especially when the police tried to reroute us to walk all the way round the Stadium, I told a Bobby in no uncertain terms we were not doing that route. We got to the turnstiles at 2:50, they were then closed as the dithering wankers couldn’t make a decision on how they let us in (Entrance L, yellow). We finally got in at 3:07, thanks, Met Police and Wembley, you are cunts.
Probs many cockney reds amongst the worst police force in England

Was on the barrier of segregation and stewards were asking City fans for flags that had been left on the floor and passing them over to United fans to take home which I thought was particularly odd
Probably so they can post them on FB and pretend they took them off blues

Nearly kicked of with a group of rags on the train I was on going back to Watford Junction.

We we’re smirking a bit, they didn’t like it, a few words were exchanged, it was getting a bit tense, a couple of them came over to us, started talking to us, and everything settled down.

Apart from that all I saw was a group of grown men/MIB’s being escorted to Wembley, as they passed us in the spoons, one of them ripped off the only City fans signs and threw them in the air. Dead hard. Lol
The Mibs are a sad parody of themselves

I’ve worked for the courts. If he has a brief with an ounce of ability then he’ll be urged to plead guilty.

It appears to be the same lad but he also has previous for racially motivated arson.
Might be missing something here but whats the reasoning for being urged to plead guilty mate by his brief mate and not go with the points total reason and try to get off with it?

I remember going to Wembley in 74, 76 and 81, twice. Everyone stayed for the presentation. In 74 and 76, I swear the accepted practice was to clap both sides on a walk around the track, win or lose. I was young and with my dad, me stood on a beer crate, which was allowed. They were 'events' and there was an accepted way of doing things, I am sure of it. Maybe my memories are warped. Lol.

Perhaps it's a societal thing, I don't know. Or just shithousery, entitlement and immaturity.
I was there in 74 and 76 and I agree fans were far more respectful in those days. Though you need to ask the question, if MU had won would we have done the same? I suspect so!

To be fair, lots of the raggy fans were suffering from Routemaster bus lag after travelling in from the far flung London suburbs.

Now, it’s a well known fact that this travel induced ailment acts as an inhibitor on the vocal cords.

Consequently, their team’s stirring performance did not receive the crescendo of choral recognition it so richly deserved.

I have the same memory of the 1981 replay. I was ten and the memory plays tricks but sure we were there as the team picked up their runners up medals
In 76 all Newcastle stayed and clapped us all around there end we did the same for them. Different times.

From the early 70s United have always had a very violent and nasty subset of fans, and something their client journalists never mention, it does not go with the image they like to portray

on the whole they are an odd bunch of weirdos
Now they look like a Pep/Right said Fred tribute act, angry chubby little baldies in snide stone island

I had a strange experience on the tube. Going to the game and 2 Utd fans got on and we were stood in front of each other right by the door. Anyway, littlest of the 2 started mouthing off and asking if I wanted a fight. I laughed and made a joke of it as to be honest he looked like he might have wiring issues (other than being a Utd fan). His mate told him to calm down and I had a crack with his mate who seemed decent for a Utd fan. As we got off my son said those 2 are famous on Youtube. Fredinho and Angry ginge or something along those lines! Fredinho was a ballbag but the angry ginger definitely didn’t act as per his stage name!
