Whats the Mickey Mouse cup..?
Lost count of the number of cups it has been. Milk cup, okekocy cup, when I was younger it was the League Cup.

I think he means the League Cup.
I’ve never considered it a "Mickey Mouse" trophy, especially as the King of all Geordies scored the greatest ever goal in the competition's history.
Also, it was all I - and I suspect, many other Blues - had to cling on to for 35 years until the great Roberto Mancini tore down that fucking banner.

It was Tueart snd Barnes my fav players of the era who got me supoorting City.Barnes due his brilliant exciting wing play.and Tueart..essentially for that over head kick ..was gutted when he left for nyc ....but then came back! Will never forget his 4 goal demolition of Notts County in the league cup early 80s..after Dave Bennet had opened the scoring..I think he means the League Cup.

I would never refer to The League Cup as the Mickey Mouse cup but each to their own i suppose....i,m glad you share my sentiments... all those years ,decades,of no trophies....and now some Blues dismiss the LC as nothing ...

I think some Blues have forgotten that it was a major trophy and part of a treble two seasons ago.
