Re: Wembley Pubs (Not Green Man)

I recommend getting there earlier if you wish to get in a pub ? By 3pm I would expect you to be joining the roundabout and footpath drinkers from the off licence. Nothing wrong with this by the way, great fun. Just don't see you getting in a pub round Wembley much after 1pm.

Re: Wembley Pubs (Not Green Man)

Thanks everyone

Can't get there till around 3pm due to trains etc.
Been to the Green Man every time before (beginning to feel like a regular)
I'll have a wander to The Greyhound etc and if can't get in join the boys 7 girls at the Roundabout

Re: Wembley Pubs (Not Green Man)

Pretty busy outside of the greyhound for the semi which was a good laugh. Although the off licences stopped selling beer around an hour before kick off. Will probably head back there again.

Re: Wembley Pubs (Not Green Man)

the grassy areas are beautiful in the sunshine, never been to wembley when its rained but I imagine there will still be a good atmosphere

Where to drink around Wembley if it's raining?

Where to drink around Wembley if it's raining?

I usually just get some cans and get on or around the roundabout.
Any ideas what to do if it's p!ssing it down?

You're not guna get 70k blues in the greyhound or greenman.

Thanks

Fucking love that. It's our second home now.

Re: Where to drink around Wembley if it's raining?

I know this will sound silly but......

Take time to walk down Wembley Way.

Pay respect to Robert Frederick Chelsea Moore.

Watch sea of blue approaching Wembley keeping an eye out for Ray.

Enter ground. If on 1st level find City 69 cup final pictures.

Pint or two in ground paying extra 90p per pint to avoid mud, rain, crush and all other attractions of the Green Man!

Soak up the atmosphere with fellow Blues keeping an eye out for those who will be unable/or make no attempt to watch the actual match!!!!!!!!

Enjoy the unique final build up and then the game itself.

That's what i'm doing, bollocks to rain.

Re: Where to drink around Wembley if it's raining?

We're getting off at Harrow and drinking in the pubs round that area all afternoon, can't be arsed with roundabout no more, especially if its gonna fuck it down, I ain't stopping in the green man all afternoon,it's London there's loads of pubs!

Re: Where to drink around Wembley if it's raining?

Wherever you are going..... get there early, green man or any other pub, there will be twice as many Blues as the semi... looks like rain a certainty so the roundabout looks bleak, Greyhound is a poo hole too

What the fuck
Has The Green Man become our new Edgehill

I just don't see the appeal of stopping in one pub all day, just because its close to wembley. I like to wander, we're the wanderers, fuck the Ducky Boys,Del Bombers and the Wongs, fuck em all.

This all sounds lovely but I'll probably just spend the afternoon getting bladderd in an awful pub singing innapropriate songs and go and watch the match.

Each to their own and all that.
