Glad I clicked on this thread as totally forgot about the rail strikes and was about to book flights into Stansted. So Thursday no strikes according to the Stansted Express site or is it still risky?I was going to use the Stansted Express as well, but it may well not be running on that day, thanks to the strike.
May train strikes: What routes are affected when this week?
Train drivers have been staging strikes, coinciding with a six-day overtime ban.www.bbc.co.uk
Really not clear re the tube. Someone else said elsewhere on here that tube drivers have a different agreement with their employer. But others have said that that that's not true, and that they could be on strike as well. Clear as mud!Glad I clicked on this thread as totally forgot about the rail strikes and was about to book flights into Stansted. Can't work out if the tube is also on strike on these dates?

Hope you're right fella. I'm hoping to get to Wealdstone (staying near St Pancras). There’s definitely no tube strike next weekend.
Only a fool would..Do not eat the jerk Chicken in the green man. (Unless you have a death wish)
Yeah you’ll do it no worries. You can check the route on TFL journey planner for times etc but definitely no strikes on the tube or London overground.Hope you're right fella. I'm hoping to get to Wealdstone (staying near St Pancras).
Just over half an hour on the Metropolitan line to Ruislip.Yeah you’ll do it no worries. You can check the route on TFL journey planner for times etc but definitely no strikes on the tube or London overground.
Exactly this. Therefore, get into London if you're after a few decent pubs that won't treat you like.... well...., a football supporter.London has more good pubs than anywhere in the country, yet around Wembley they’re nearly all shite.
I see what you did thereOnly a fool would..
