WEP key

wep key is something that would be chose by whoever set up your router I would imagine. On the older style routers you input a word which then gives you a series of numbers which is a wep key, on the newer kind its simply a wpa network password which again would be chose by the person who set up the router, which presumably wasnt yourself?

Check the back of your router, unless you have changed it, it should be on there.

double click to open my computer
Click on network, left hand side, opens a new screen
Right click on your router
open view device webpage
Your key should be under Wireless > Security

All depends if you have a wireless router
if you do who ever in your household set it up should know the wep key or wpa key
And routers are usually login name and password set, so you will need this login name and
password before getting access to wireless security to be able to find out the wep key.
Unless your trying to hog a Neighbours wireless which will be hard because most people dont leave them open nowadays.
