Bring back Gareth Barry...........

Yes he's old, knackered, slow and error prone. But I agree we play better with him in the side. Maybe we should go back to 4 5 1 with Barry and Fernandino holding and Yaya further up front. Barry even in the de Jong role with the other 2 going forward.
Actually I would just stick Nasri in with them. It was less an inability to defend and more that our midfield two were outnumbered.

Get milner in on the left our left back is exposed every single week!!

-- Sat Aug 31, 2013 5:36 pm --

There was booing at half time? That is out of order

I never heard any booing, normal collective grumble but no booing

There was a bit, but it was just a few bellends

Corrected.

Expectation is our "problem" expecting to walkover teams, both from the fans and from our starting eleven. No game in the PL us an easy 3 points.

My concern is , against better opposition like the rags, we will ship 3 or 4 goals if we allow them the amount of time to play in midfield. Just yaya and fernandiho in the middle isnt enough.
Honestly, do you really think we would play like that against a team like Nited or Chelsea? Really ?
That is the system the manager has chosen. I do not think it works with 2 in the middle of midfield. I hope the manager reverts to the previous 2 seasons formation against the better opposition. I don`t know if he will change it for `nited or chelsea`. Do you think he will?

He did at Malaga. He often dropped to a 4-2-3-1 against better class opposition.

no champagne football today but didn't concede and won 2 zip.
its a new system with a new set of players.
FFS give it time.
booing at half time well.
the squad are still sorting the shape and the system out.
without VK we are half the team we all know that give it time and we will realise this was a great 3 points.

There was someone booing in 305 - I was sat a few seats away. Bang out of order in my book, but each to their own.

I've moved from 202 to 305 this season and there is a marked difference in atmosphere. A lot more vocal in 305, but also a helluva lot more barracking of certain players, and definitely less patience from the fans.

Re: Were in trouble

Our new players are finding out the PL is a different kettle of fish.

No time on the ball, and nobody gives up. Non-stop for 90 minutes.

Re: Were in trouble

The solution is simple, stop playing a 4-2-4 and bring Barry back in.
Lescott and Nastasic can't do anything if they've got 4 players to deal with because Fernandinho is wondering up the other end and Toure is caught out of position

Didn't go today due to having a foot in plaster
I can only think you had headphones on or b.t sports were playing booing noises to the viewers
It was coming over loud on the t.v.

Re: Were in trouble

I heard loud boos from 109, of course I was disgusted. You never EVER boo your own team, we'll leave that for the Arsenal Prawn Sandwich Brigade. It sounded like a lot came from the South Stand as well

Re: Were in trouble

We will not win anything this year we are a good striker and two centre backs short so unfortunately we will just have to make sure we reach the top four.

We are missing Kompany and Tevez big time( unfortunately only one of those will be coming back!)

Re: Were in trouble

Not short on striker numbers, do you mean quality? If we are going to play like today in future you may as well sell Dzeko and buy Suarez!!
Didn't hear any boos and would never boo myself but I cannot remember a half as poor as the first half today. Can anyone else?

Wtf we have the best attacking force in the PL. You do realise we are 3 games in? Three!

We are NOT missing Tevez at all.

"We are" it should be.

And I thought we won? People need to understand that smaller teams see us a scalp, 2 more minutes last week we would have won. I am not worried at least the manager a not afraid to make changes that seem to work.

Well said. Some fans are giving up after 3 games. They can't have been with us in the old days!!! 40 years and we're still here (some of us anyway)

Could this be the most despondent thread that makes us feel so utterly dejected yet on BM?
Come on Blues, the future is bright and we'll get there :)

When I see threads like this (e.g. right after winning a game) I sometimes wonder if they post on here in order to stop themselves from entering the BME Pain Olympics. (I advise people not to watch, just know that it's people filming themselves hurting their junk for no good reason.)

I cannot understand any other reason than that one.
When City win, and you get a topic like this, it tells you that we really are in trouble

Maybe this is inevitable with new signings and a new manager. But those who highlight that all is not well are only pointing out the glaringly obvious and what was being said at half-time

And don't you just love it. Never seen you post one positive about City.
