Hey blues, ive wondered for ages where the 'we're not really here' chant came from? Ive been singing it for over 10 years without really knowing what it means. Ive heard lots of conflicting reasons, so whats the difinitive reason?

Also, whilst we are here, why do we call the red scum 'Rags'?

Cheers blues.

Someone's going to come along and say Millwall, and then someone else is going to come along and say they were singing it earlier than that game.

On a serious note it's because they needed to borrow our old kits of us half a century ago.

We're not really here is a bit of a mystery, there are people who said we started singing it on a pre-season tour in Ireland early 90's after a dead mans friends started it off. It's one of those though, where no-one will be able to give you a definite answer.
