excuse my thickness but i am welsh so its ok....

can someone verify the below statement about the song is true?

We're not really here

We're not really here, we're not really here
Like the friends of the Invisible Man
We're not really here
(Inspired by City fans on tour in Ireland who trashed the bar of the Metropole Hotel in Cork, then sung this to the police officers sent to deal with the situation in the belief there was no proof as to which ones were responsible)

i've been wondering for ages lol
It Started at a Wake In Prestwich Full Version if you drink you will die if you dont drink you will die it is better to be drunk than sober when yo die just like the fan ect,Then we organised to coaches to ireland & sang it on the coach pubs & Cork branch do then for some daft reason it took of. People then through Myth have come up with different reasons but i asure you this is the Real Version

wasnt it sung when we were n Division 2 and fans sung it as we were way above that leagues standards and should not have been there

There is also a story that says it was originated at luton away in the 80's when away fans were banned.

This is what I heard too ......although the Prestwich story seems to have now overtaken this version of events.

What I heard MANY years ago:

1985

City took a crew of lads to LUTON away even though we were banned and starting singing "we're not really here" , I think EVERYONE was banned from Luton due to Millwalls riot.
