Not a criticism, these things take time. But we obviously do not have the nous to win the league this season.

As staunch a City fan as I am,I unfortunately have to agree with you.
Whether we like it or not,two away wins out of the last nine,is clearly not a Premiership winning team.

72 goals in 30 games certainly is though.

Glass half full and all that...........

No,I`m being realistic. Our away form could lose us the PL title.

-- Sat Mar 24, 2012 9:59 pm --

Right early holiday see you next season

Bye !! Send us a postcard. ;)

United will drop points before the end of the season (not including the game against us), I have no doubt about it.

Too many fucking spineless jellyfish amongst our support these days.

Support the team while we wait and see what happens - that's our only role in this.

Forum pedants are quite right to say that if they batter everybody we may still miss out on goal difference but this proves my point. Why's everyone assuming the rags are gonna batter everybody ?

If we win every game and we extrapolate the current goal difference of the 2 teams over the full 38 games WE WILL BE CHAMPIONS. That's a more scientific way to look at things.

Why are you all so negative ?

Sorry but you are not giving tho opposite view posters enough credit here.

They believe utd will not lose, nothing about battering. ALL their matches are more than ripe for the pickings bar us.

They believe this due to recent history of the last 20 years maybe ?

Personally i am not sure what will happen but the ones citing utd won't lose have a severe amount of reasons to believe that and for you to simply ignore it is silly.

But it's definitely not 'all over'

Fighting talk and whilst I agree with supporting the team, I can't help feeling we've well and truly shot ourselves in the foot with our away form over the last 9 matches (only 2 wins ffs!)

Hope you're bang on with your first comment, however, but I'm not pinning too many hopes on it actually coming to fruition!

To win the league we need the rags to drop at least 10 points. Very unlikely in my opinion.

Actually they need only drop 3 - maths wasn´t my strong point at school but even I can see that
We will draw at Norwich and Newcastle and lose to arsenal. Add those lost points to the 3 you have and tada

How the fuck do you come to that conclusion?

Fair point mate

But even going off history, how many times have the rags reeled off 9 straight wins to end the season ? Never I'd wager

They've dropped lots of points to mug sides this season too. So there are real grounds for optimism

I know we won't win all 8 games but we won't need to. Yes the rags are favourites and rightly so but the attitude of some people on here is "that's it, it's all over now"
