If we signed Pastore, do you think we could play him and Silva together? Would this eliminate the Barry role? Which one would sit deeper?

Pastore is a AM, while Sanchez is more of a supporting striker as mentioned above. We don't really have a role for that as it is now. Sanchez would take one of the winger's roles (but playing more in the central á la Balotelli or Silva), while Pastore would take Yaya's role with Yaya sitting back more, replacing Barry.
With Pastore taking over one of the CM's spot, our central midfield would become a bit more unbalanced, a bit more attacking. If Yaya and De Jong is up for the task, it could work. De Jong our Busquets, Yaya = Xavi and Pastore = Iniesta. But it would require a lot of hard work from De Jong and the full backs to cover the defensive positions.

The only way we would sign Pastore is if we are going to play with a Trequiesta which we dont do now i.e. He would have no defensive duties at all (dont think City fans would like that). Can't see us going for him due to price and I don't think we will play with a Trequiesta.
