It's been good while it lasted.

Physically, I think we are out on our feet, we must take our chances when they do come.

Fernandinho, Otamendi, Delph, David Silva all got completely rested.

Walker (17mins) Stones (30mins), Sane(35mins) & De Bruyne (40mins) all only had a short run out.

On top of that, in 5 of our last 10 games, the match has been over after about an hour and we've been able to rest players, control possession and slow the pace of games to conserve energy.

There's no reason for them to be out on their feet. If they are exhausted now, we might as well pack up, becsause they'll never make it through December, or February/March

Mike Jones has been appointed referee for City's trip to West Brom on Saturday.

Jones' most recent Manchester City appointment was... West Brom vs. City (in the Carabao Cup) last month.

He let them kick the shit out of us the last time

How on earth have we got him again?

I have to say I’m more worried about the referee than WBA, in that in a fair match we win.

The problem for me will be Jones allowing WBA to be very physical and get away with it. They were allowed foul with no repercussions in the Carabao Cup and it eventually took its toll.

I really hope we don’t have a Scott Dann/ Aguero scenario as we can’t afford to to lose players now to injury.

It's been a very busy start, coupled with the intensity we are being asked to play at.

The number of international commitments is a big factor in why some of our lads also need more than the odd respite of minutes.

You're right that we definitely need a break, if we can get through tomorrow, Wednesday and Arsenal there is an international break which might help.

I do think that because we start the first 30 mins of every match at 100 miles an hour we can look tired in the last few minutes of the half and in the first few minutes of the second half as it's impossible to maintain that intensity for 90 mins. We do, however, finish most matches well. The only matches we looked tired late on were against WBA, Wolves and to an extent Napoli (though I think we tried to shut that game down more than anything).
