The fact that you thing gundogan has bren our best player recently means im stepping out of this conversation.....he is part of the problem with our midfield...he offers very little but esp defensively. ...
However against west brom hopefully it wont matter

Need to pay West Brom respect as we’ve struggled to break virtually everybody down this season but they don’t have a lot of pace and threat upfront, attacking fullbacks and Gundogan in the holding role solo with Bernardo and kdb infront. Need an energetic attacking display to try and kickstart something

The reason that Sterling and Mahrez didn't play well last night, was Pep chose wrong full-backs.
If we put Cancelo on RB and Mendy on LB, It will boost our attacking power.
However, we sacrifice it because Pep didn't want to concede a goal and he picked a more defensive line-up.
We will have much easier games until mid season, So i expect to finish top 3 with 3-4 points behind the first team until 19th week.

I can't get my head around either of those line ups,without Foden and especially with Mahrez instead.
