West Brom - post match thread

I really hope they don't try and make something of the Nolito incident, it was silly of him to risk it but in no way did he hurt the player or even try to... it gets silly the meal they try and make out of these incidents a yellow was enough.

Fantastic result today lads and lasses....well done.
I know the last couple of weeks haven't been plain sailing for you....but it could be worse....you could be me ;-)

Strange post mate, we want to draw them on and should of scored way more than the first half, pep will be more concerned it wasn't six nil, never mind 0-2 shut up shop
Indeed we do but that area of the pitch is what is causing us the most grief when the opposition press us. blocks and ricochets are causing us our biggest issues over the last 7 games. Teams that overload that area of the pitch cause us problems at the back and reduce our effectiveness going forward.

Been busy all day so not even seen the game yet but fantastic result.

Thought we should have scored a few more in the 1st half and after we weathered their little spell of pressure we could have scored another 3 or 4 in addition to the 2 we got.
We rested players midweek and it showed today, the rag shite played a full strength team mid week and had to play same players today and it showed in the result.
Always a happier place on here when we win and the scum get beat isnt it.......shame Arsenola didnt drop points but spuds did so happy days.

Incidently Pullis was a complete idiot not to press us in the DM of the pitch from the off today - especially as he'll have seen all the stats and video analysis that all the other managers in the League will have seen thar show our effectiveness is drastically reduced if teams press us high up the pitch.
He did it in the second half but it was too late.

Was in the west brom end, city fans were fantastic; city were outstanding, very professional performance. I recorded to Guardiola song at the end of the game when the players came over, will try and post it later...

Overall very very happy with that

Great performance. Some cracking goals and a clean sheet. What more could you ask for?

Some brilliant attacking play and one of the finest goals you will see. What a strike from Sergio. I didn't think he had any chance of scoring there, but I should know better by now.

Well done to Pep for giving Aleix Garcia his first taste of Premier League action. It's great to be able to come on for your league début when there's no pressure and as he proved on Wednesday, Aleix seems to have what it takes, at least against mid-table opposition.

With other results going our way,it's been a great afternoon to be a Blue.

Dinho's best position is not as a DM, he would play best in Pep's central midfield three to the right of a specialist DM. He can be ahead of the DM most of the time but can get back when the pressure is on. Something we are not doing too well at for the last 7 games.
Then you waste one of KDB, Silva or Gundogan.

No thanks.

Yeah and we scored two when he pressed us.

He's no fool. He knows that if you press us then you open yourselves up.
