West Ham 2016/17

From where i sat i didnt really notice any gap between the two tiers - it was all much closed in than i thought.

i assume to retractable seating will come into play behind the goals and on my side.
Watched a video after it didn't ,seem noticeable ,but it looked like ( your side) hadn't been pushed forward much.
What happens when they have athletics on does the bottom tier go underneath the second tier or do they just unclip the scaffolding poles ? And take it down
The ground didn't seem very tall from the outside is the pitch underground like the etihad or is the bottom level a very shallow rake over the running track ?

When the stadium is in athletics mode, the football mode seating behind the goal is sited either side of the temporary central section, seen underneath the bridge in the photo below. The seating is then moved to the front and raised when in football mode to connect the concourse to the seats via a bridge.

Sorry being a bit thick here but where does the seating go when they want the running track is it on wheels or does it have to be dismantled each time,as it just looks like scaffolding poles plonked on the running track ?

The scaffolding is for the concourse area and bridge behind the retractable seating. It's dismantled when the stadium is in athletics mode.

The seating behind the goal just goes either side of the central section below the bridge. It's then lowered to the same rake. The seating down the sides just goes right back to the permanent seating.

The biggest problem is that the permanent part of the lower tier cannot be dismantled as it's reinforced concrete and part of the stadium concourse, otherwise they could have installed hydraulic seating to fill the gap between the upper and lower tier.

It sounds like living in a caravan.

absolutely miles away from the pitch, the camera is having to zoom just to make the touchline.

Rubbish stadium for football, saying that anything is better than the shit hole that was Upton Park.

You been there have you ?

I went Thursday night. My view was fine, didn't feel that far away at all. Atmosphere was even better.
