if Dinho gets a 4th red then serious words need to be had.

Its only recently that his record has been bad. And he was very unlucky to receive a red against BMG. So basically you've got a rash tackle against Burnley and getting involved in the fracas against Chelsea. He's not exactly Vinnie Jones.

Its very likely that refs will be harder on him than other players for a while. But really he should just play his normal game.

This is a must win game with Liverpool at home to Chelsea. 1 or both of them will drop points, so it is up to us the team to go out and win this one. It will be a lot harder than the cup tie, with WHU out to prove that the cup result was just a fluke, and that they had an off night.

He was quite ineffective when we tore them a new one

Carrol is a weird fucker. He is absolutely unplayable if he decides to be. But most of the time he just jogs about making half arsed attempts at challenging for the ball.

When, on occasion, he really goes for it, he gets it. He's no mug as a footballer either, some of his finishes are absolutely outstanding, just looks a bit clumsy at times. But same thing, half the time he is not really concentrating, which makes it worse.

If he decides to turn up, whoever plays against him will struggle. But most of the time he doesn't bother.

Agree. In addition:
I wouldn't be astonished if we'll see Ota and Stones again as CB again, like in the cup match.
Kompany can have a rest and go step by step.
Pep fortunately has a big squad now giving a lot of options to use all the players, depending on the opponent.
He said several times that all the players will get their game time as he knows the tough weeks are still ahead.
We need to manage our ressources and Pep will do exactly that.

Again, many players might be able to play 3 matches a week, but not weak in weak out. You need a longer rest between the matches to recover mentally merely than physically. On top level being fully concentrated during a match is immense. If we want to have players up for it from the go they also need recovery time to be able for that kind of intensity. That's why Pep will rotate.

Agree with all of that

You're Yaya comment is bollocks mate 33 or not he's performing at a high standard and he's still got enough in the engine room to play twice in 5 days.

Maybe Sane at LB as well **** me

Agree. They're professionals on high wages ffs

I know some who work 12 hour shifts 7 days a week...

If Kompany has gone early it may be something to do with managing his injuries. It's probably a lot better to go two days before rather than a day before so your muscles have time to relax/recover.

Although it's only a two hour train journey...

If rumours are true it could suggest that he'll play tomorrow?

My attitude to this game is the same as the cup game. They are shit, if we play well and apply ourselves we will win comfortably

I have never seen a team kick it out of play as much as they did in the cup game, it looked to be that they haven't got to grips with the size of the pitch. The cross field balls were, in the main, over hit, but if they did reach the target we were on them or their cross to Carroll was poor

I know they bought Snodgrass, but lets be clear, he was a good player in a shit team, not a world beater and certainly not someone we should be overly worried about. We have a great chance to go on a run from here

1-3 City

PEP: @aguerosergiokun trained with team, so he is ready for

PEP: I am happy @fernandinho is back. We played a lot of games without him. He is so important for us.

PEP: He’s not an aggressive player. He’s tough. He’s one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. We accept the ban & don’t complain

PEP: No (to #DeadlineDay deals). We have enough players. Every weekend I have to leave 3 players at home, so why should we buy new players.

PEP: (On Sagna, Zabaleta & Kompany) Clean sheets don’t depend on 3 players. They know the line-up 2 hours before KO. They are always ready.
