A new season opens with our early kick off at the Hammers. It won't be easy, but as first fixtures go,we could have done worse.

Hopefully all our players will be good to go,including Leroy!

On yesterday’s evidence, we’ll need to be clinical and take our chances in the first half, as I’d expect us to look tired in the second half again. It’s not as if one week more of training is going to have them all fully fit by Saturday, so no room for sloppiness. Think the starting eleven will be similar again but with earlier substitutions.

Fitness was a concern, especially that of Kev and Gundogan, and with Rodri still adapting,we'll maybe find the game harder than we ordinarily would.

Id be tempted with a similar team to yesterday but with surprise inclusion of Foden ahead of D Silva, and Aguero leading the line.Hopefully Eric is fit to play alongside Stones, too.

Don’t think it’ll be easy at all, and as you say it might be a case of picking players who are sharper rather than ‘best’ technical team for the occasion. Could be a month before we’re full throttle so any win would be acceptable.

Do the hammers press like the dippers???

Ederson

Walker - Stones - Otamendi - Zinchenko

Rodri

KDB - Silva

Bernardo - Jesus - Sterling

Could even potentially put KDB up higher and get Gundogan on as an 8 instead of Jesus, with Steling in the middle.

Comfortably better than them 3 weeks ago with a team full of kids.
I can’t see them getting any change out of us on Saturday
The 90 mins in the legs yesterday will have done the likes of KDB and Raheem the world of good.
Would expect the same starting 11 as yday with the possible exception of Eddy
