You should have bothered to check my original post,Cancelo,and after his joke of a performance last night,....he isnt.

I thought you meant Cancelo - was just checking rather than having to scroll back. Didn’t know that wasn’t allowed!!!!

But they are both still good players despite the mistakes. All players make them & you don’t judge on one game.

Cancelo is at best a back up to Walker.
Double the price of Danilo and no improvement.
Maybe he might make it as a right wing back or in midfield.
Keep him away from the left.
I cannot get over the way he turned his back to the scorer of their goal.
Nasri-esque.
Whatever peoples reservations about Garcia and Zinchenko, Cancelo cost the most of 60m more than them.
He is unsellable.

I thought Cancelo had a good game in the unfathomable right sided position he played in v Arsenal. However he was useless last night. Strange how right footed wingers can play left wing but right footed full backs seem always to struggle at left back. As soon as the winger goes on the outside they've had it.

I agree he was shit last night but he has had half decent games at left back. Not sure who else we’ve got.

You can't give professional players a break. Our club is at the top level and you need the players to be at this level. If you pay a premium transfer price you need that player to perform at that level.
Unfortunately you cannot accommodate players just to give them a game.
The left back position is up for grabs.
The right side is supposedly where Cancelo is strongest but he is way behind Walker. I would go as far as to say that Walker has improved with the challenge of Cancelo while Cancelo himself has not impressed at all.
He is comfortably the worst right back we have had in the last decade.
He is not a patch on Zabaleta, Walker, Danilo or Sagna and cost more than all of them combined.
I firmly believe that Jesus Navas is currently playing at a higher level and is now back in the Spanish squad.
Turning his back the other night was inexcusable.

I was probably a bit over the top when I said that Cancelo is unsellable but I can't see any club coming up with anywhere near 60m to sign him and then pay the wages we have him on.

Foden offers energy and enthusiasm like no one else in our side,he also helped turn and influence the game on Wed evening.Why would you exclude him?

I think Pep should try Cancelo in right wing position
He can break the defence and make some crosses
Mahrez has a very poor form, he does not involve enough in attacks

Yeah, I think it will be a close game tbh. You'll take confidence from your last couple of results, and we're not firing on all cylinders yet. We tend to do quite well at your place though so fingers crossed that continues tomorrow!

Not going to even attempt a guess at the starting line up , never got one right yet , just hope our apparent disastarous start of the season continues W4 D1 L1 (the game we lost we gifted THREE penalties) , if we win our game in hand at home against Villa ,we climb to 2nd place , what a nightmare !
No doubt we are not as fluent at the moment , disease and injuries have certainly contributed , and our late pre-season/start , we also appear to have at least 5/6 absentees for every match , grinding out results is an oddity to us but credit to the team for some battling results.
If we ever do get our best XI on the pitch maybe we can then start putting teams to the sword , until then its gonna be hard watch , but Dias , Ake and Torres have shown some promise being a half glass full person , i foresee us being in the mix for every trophy going as per usual.
