West Ham (a) pre-match thread

I'd do the following not only for West Ham but going forward, injuries permitting:

Ederson
Walker Dias Laporte Ake
Rodrigo
De Bruyne Bernardo
Sterling Aguero Ferran
By default, De Bruyne plays deeper and partners Rodrigo pinging balls into opposition dangerous areas. Bernardo to be the main playmaker.
I think this will solve the puzzle of playing both together and because most teams defend against us, De Bruyne playing deeper should be our default mode and the implication would be that the creativity from both players is not hindered.

If the opposition decides to play football, we unleash De Bruyne on them in attacking positions while Bernardo reclines to support Rodri and so KDB will have space to wreak havoc.

I believe this plan will work.
Belgium use Kevin in that way. As opposition teams tire, Kevin pushes further forward. I agree with you.

Aymeric Laporte
Nathan Ake
Benjamin Mendy
Kevin De Bruyne
Fernandinho
Gabriel Jesus

All out of tomorrow's game? Am I missing anybody! Our injury records are absolutely ridiculous.

Going to be a tough game this, I think we'll edge it.
WHU 1-2 MCFC
Antonio for West Ham
Sterling brace for us.

Come on blues.

Laporte, ake and Kev in the squad

Said prior to Arsenal that I felt the season started there, I’ve got my enthusiasm back (despite the frustration of armchairitis)

can see the spring in the step back, and we’re only in 3rd gear thus far

A 3-1 win tomorrow, Bernadooo

Is that confirmed? I though pep had said kev and Laporte are both back.

Fucking garbage (the second half of your last sentence?
People have reverted back to type following the inconsistencies of last year, clearly discounting that class has a way of resurfacing...

there’s a reason we remain favourites in most people’s eyes, just a shame it’s bypassed by our own!

you just never know anymore ? on paper city should have enough. but its covid-19 season part 2 and its how the players feel its who turns up/who wants it. also who are the fitter team with something left in the tank
city injuries are a major problem and it scares me. not for one minute do i think city and pep are telling the truth about the major injuries and KDB. why would you risk playing a 50% fit KDB its not going to happen

the injuries are starting to mount up and key players need 2 or 3 games to get match fit again after injuries
and you can not hide anybody in this city team and just fit them in at 50% fit. west ham will fancy it ? morning kick off home tie city down to the bare bones. the city line up will be a patched up back 4 again and a midfield with kdb

I WOULD TAKE A CITY 1.0 WIN right now. forget the nice football we have to dig in and fight and defend and hope we get the job done without anymore injuries or sending offs
