Sky are showing the match. Apparently the rule/agreement that the top divisions can’t play a league match or have it televised expired in 2017

Three games in a week with Madrid at the end of it and a tough away game in the middle. Not ideal. Not sure why they couldn’t do it this weekend.

Didn't both clubs object to that idea? Not wanting their break interrupted, I'm guessing.

Glad I will not miss the game, and the earlier the kick off the better as far as I am concerned. Better than trying to shoehorn lots of matches in later on in the season, especially if we continue in the FA Cup.

Problem is players this week are already all over the place on holiday. They would be back next week for training anyhow so it seems to make some sense to me
