West Ham (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

The digging at those who post criticism on here is ridiculous. It's a post match thread; say what you think - just as if you were talking about it with your mates in the pub after the match. We don't all see it the same way.

If someone has a different opinion to you, SFW? Ignore it; laugh and poke fun at it; or argue about the opinion - not their right to express it.

Some of you want to sanitise the place too much and abolish any criticism of the team or Pep. If you're a happy clapper, just respond to the criticism - don't call for it to be silenced. It's a forum!

A fan, yes.

A bloke got up when Walker gave the ball away trying to pass to McAtee and lost it with Walker. Started calling him ‘****’ this and ‘prick’ that. The players heard the fella and De Bruyne started shouting at him, as did a number of fans around him who backed the players.

The bloke didn’t even care. Just carried on calling him a prick after he sat down.
Well done those fans who backed Walker - short memories some ungrateful folk. He’s been a legend for us and whist he might be in his last season - no need to forget what he’s done for us. Vinicius Junior won’t

He doesn’t but surely Pep has tried the midfield thing in training and doesn’t like it. He is not good enough at all for me and now Savinho is showing signs that the left is more suited to him, his days may be coming to and end with us.
Pep makes some baffling moves, but has also shown a stubborn side. Jack starred for England in CM, & played well against Forest (I think) when we played him there.

In Pep's mind, Jack makes us a 4-1-4-1 with him being an additional CM, but on the wing. When we're dominating, Jack helps keep control, but he lacks the cutting edge needed against the usual armour plated defensive walls we face most matches.

Who'd you rather play CDM, Grealish, Gundog or Nunes?

It's nice to win a game and score 4 goals. We are still miles off it, but there were some good moments today. The second and third goals were both fantastic.

West Ham weren't great but had some decent chances themselves.

I hope we can get a few players in this window.

The lack of a top number 6 is the foundation of every problem.
I certainly don't disagree, but I don't think it's the foundation of every problem

I think some problems are simply energy related, some are injury related (e.g. central defense a while ago) and some are in the mind, but I will agree that shape wise and making our own issues stemming from midfield are lack of 6 and lack of cover for 6. The latter baffles me, considering we won every trophy with one.
