Was never gonna be vintage after playing 120 minutes on Sunday. Fernandinho and Laporte injured but we didn’t miss them. Important win.

We have to give West Ham credit, even if we were looking tired and did squander our chances, with one too many passes in their final third, when a shot should have come. Our players were waiting and waiting for them to give up some space but it never came, needed a top corner special but we had to settle for a penalty(was a pen in my book, soft to some but not Salah soft), their defensive line seemed to catch us offside more often than many teams manage too.

Bernardo, after just coming on, weaved into the box winning the pen and Agüero tucked it into the corner. How we didn't score more I'll never know but a win is always a win. Good save Eddie, Zinchenko impressive again but will go for Sergio motm. Great to hear, almost the loudest sound of the game, the chants for Pellegrini and Zaba too.

As often is the case, we were not clinical enough but it was a very solid performance and after a sapping game vs Chelsea you have to be pleased we won.

After a couple of dunce moments, it was good to see us manage the game out very effectively.

Weird how many people are claiming that was a poor performance.
Finishing aside, we were very good for the most part. Should have been a comfortable 4/5 - 0 and on another day would have been.
A couple of players weren’t at the races and sadly for them they are the ones needing to impress the most right now.
That’s a fucking great result after a hard 10 days or so. The win is all that matters. Fuck knows what some expect but this place has more than it’s fair share of soft ****s.

Dunno what Pep wanted to smell, but it can’t have been that! Our attack looks lacking right now, no confidence at all, which is baffling. Danilo I thought was our best player overall, closely followed by Bernardo’s cameo.

We scored 6 against Chelsea and 3 against Shalke .it was always going to be tough after Wembley
