West Ham (H) Post Match Thread

Probably the best that can be said about that is we got the points. After a good start we looked laboured and made very hard work of it.

The form of Mahrez, KDB and Merlin continues to be a concern. Sané doesn’t look comfortable with a full back who likes to get forward like Zinchenko. It’s like they are getting in each other’s space.

Gundogan played ok but continues to slow us down rather than move us forward.

Danilo and Zinchenko did well. Kun worked his arse off for little reward. Bernie changed the game when he came on. He is such a great player.

It was good to see that Pep trusts Foden enough to put him on at 1-0. We have to build our future midfield around him and Bernie.

Zinchenko in the main was good but also guilty of ball watching for the only chance they had, also played some sloppy square passes that were nowhere near a blue, intercepted and a better team could've punished us, but like I said in an earlier post I'm super critical and a bit of a dick!

It was atrocious we were so naive on the ball tonight in most areas and a lot weren’t fighting for it.

It was one of the most wasteful displays I’ve seen from a team - not just in goal scoring chances but build up.

There’s too many happy clappers on here that get all up in arms whenever someone’s criticism.

As I say - we play like that until May and we’re comfortably behind 1st.
I don't think it's happy clappers, Its also nice to see us having that side to our game that we don't normally see where we can see out 1-0 games...
Just wondering if you thought the same against Liverpool on Sunday? They were dire. So did you say they'll come 2nd when you seen that performance?

It wasn’t - it was a terrible performance and we would have been punished if West Ham had anything about them.

Disagree completely. We controlled the game and but for poor finishing would have had 4 or more. That degree of dominance is far from atrocious. Not at our best but not bad.

This is an example of the worst of our so called supporters

Gave the ball away cheaply far too many times for my liking. Several players guilty of it. The introduction of Bernardo and Raz brought more pace and directness and 3 points all important. Another 3 from Bournemouth please then a bit of a rest with no midweek game before Watford.

They had 1 shot because we defended well as a team -not in any way terrible. Not sure why you are wound up as we got the three points?

I thought we were excellent. Always in control and on another day, five up inside half an hour.

The longer we went without scoring, the more edgy we became.

Special mentions for the whole backline, passing through the lanes. Danilo and Zin look very good.

De Bruyne became more of a liability as the game went on.

Mahrez, Sane and Silva. Crap.

City playing shite normally does it mate

But we weren’t Shite we weren’t ruthless I’ll give you that. Shite no. Played like a team that had played 120 mins and won a cup on pens 3 days ago and picked up some key injuries that’s all.

The criticism this team takes at times beggars belief. There are occasions when it's justified but they're few and far between, and tonight wasn't one of them. Great three points in in a totally dominant performance. What more does anyone want?

Away at Old Trafford who haven’t lost in the league in x amount of games vs a rotated West Ham squad.

Hardly the same level of games.

We play like that at Old Trafford we’ll lose.

Massive win and in its own way that was one of our best displays of the season given the situation. Wonderful ball retention and movement in the first 30mins, great management from pep to bring the right subs on at the right time which led to us running fuckin riot for 15mins and we could’ve scored 5 or 6.

Then most pleasingly of all for me in the last 15mins we showed the maturity of champions and managed the game brilliantly, playing it sideways and backwards, buying cheap free kicks, taking it to the corner, playing little triangles.

That’s how you win titles.

Dunno what Pep wanted to smell, but it can’t have been that! Our attack looks lacking right now, no confidence at all, which is baffling. Danilo I thought was our best player overall, closely followed by Bernardo’s cameo.

Can you not see they are knackered?

Proud of the lads.

Hahaha - I can say what the fuck I want I went to the game cheered them on and paid my money.

I drove all the way back from Telford today as I’m working away to attend.

Because you’re critical of the team on an online forum you’re a worse supporter?
