West Ham (H) Post Match Thread

West Ham's best opportunity to beat us after a difficult Euro game midweek.

Not our best performance, but we ground out a result and ticked off our 20th win on the bounce.

TWENTY F*CKING WINS ON THE BOUNCE!!!

Never in my wildest dreams did I think we'll be here after the start we had.

What a team, what a manager, what a club.

CTWD!!!
This!

West Ham were second in the 10match form table behind us and we still won despite making a lot of changes and not playing particularly well. What champions do

Incredible mentality on display to keep the winning run going.

To coin a phrase, the shark team is well and truly back.

Hammers played really well and look good for a top 4 spot.

13 points now ;-)

Not at our best today but never really looked like losing at any stage. Apart from a really sloppy last 10 mins first half and then the chance West Ham got right at the end I think we managed to control the game quite well.

Sign of a good team to grind out the 3 points under any circumstances and to win 20 games straight is some achievement.

I don't want to be too critical of anyone, early kick off Saturday after playing CL away Wed night, with quite a few coming back from not playing and still manged to win against a decent side.

A few players had uncharacteristically off days though.

The forwards weren't really firing today so it was good that defenders can step up and get goals when needed.

Our best 11 is

Eddie
Cancelo Stones Dias Zin
Rodri
Gundogan Bernardo
Sterling Jesus Foden

Fight me.

You are absolutely correct in terms of the overall balance and synchronicity.

I never thought I would see the day when it felt like we were shoehorning in Kev?

He's obviously not fit, but the gaps just aren't there when we play the line up you posted.

Even the second goal today came when Foden and Jesus pressed West Ham by the right left touchline.

Horses for courses, I suppose?

Great, sporting, insightful analysis by likeable ex-Hammer Joe Cole. Good to see. Up there with Ally Macoist.
i thought he was very poor. pre-game especially alongside that ever stupid idiot who then went on to to commentary.

I thought we were lethargic leggy and pretty sloppy today but fair enough after a hard mid week games. Although with so many changes maybe that’s not such a great excuse. But three points is all we really asked for today so that will do fine. Will be even better if Chelsea beat united. Brilliant from Diaz stones Fernandinho Zinchenko today. Nice to see Sergio back on the pitch even if he was a bit rusty then again so was De Bruyne who looked like he was playing with his eyes shut in first half and then played a peach of a cross out of nowhere. 20 wins on the bounce is incredible.

As an aside, isn't is great to see West Ham have a proper competitive side again?

A proper club and I would love to see them finish in the top four or six, hopefully they go to United soon and really put the cat amongst the pigeons!!

Irony, Liverpool fans hoping City win the League Cup so they can squeak Europe.

If I were a Londoner, Irons would always be my team, genuine people, don't suffer fools, always like City fans, knowing what it is like to get the shitty end of the stick.

I was worried when I saw the line up, but no need, our brilliant twin strikers did the biz. Today showed how hard the season will become for us if we go deep into the cups. Some tired players there, but loads of determination.
