West Ham (H) Post Match Thread

A very hard fought victory, we did well to win that. Not at our best and our passing at times was very careless. Also thought we looked a bit leggy today. 2 great goal and commanding performance by Stones ably supported by Dias. Pains me to say it, but Lingard had a great game, we struggled to contain him. His direct running caused us lots of problems. Antonio is a real handful, so for me Stones & Dias won that game for us, despite their goals.

well done City. Twenty on the bounce... again ;-)

Kev is always like that after being out I've noticed. Takes him a few games to come up to speed and find his range of passing. That being said his ball for Dias was superb so I'll let him off. : )
If I’m being completely honest he’s been way off his best most of this season. His amazing assist stats disguise the truth, which is he’s not been playing well. Injuries aside he has had no proper rest for a very long time and he really looks like he could use one.

Is it really 26 games ago.......

That MSM Sports Channels were all circle jerking at the beginning of the Liverpool 10 year domination of English football.

Seems like only yesterday.

O

if we want to be strong towards the end of the season I don’t think he has any choice. 7 perhaps too many esp given Kev and Sergio were never going to have great games given their condition.

sounded like a tough game and well earned 3 points. Was always going to be tough with players coming back from injury and some not played much, but City need to get all players up to match fitness.

Which is understandable. The issue especially in the first half was the amount of players on the pitch just coming back from lay offs and not being near at it. It could have cost us big time but thankfully didn't. We definitely rode our luck today against a very good WH side.

Very scratchy win against a dangerous WHU. Had to dig really really deep to win that one which shows great character again.
Ederson's passing was a bit iffy today but he won everything in the air and some of his takes from crosses were first class, he dominated his box today.
Kun certainly needs the minutes....
KDB was up and down all match.
Gundo seems to suffer when KDB is on the pitch, his influence and goals have waned since KDB returned.
Great finish from Stones.
Midfield was a bit meh today.
Can see both Utd and Leicester dropping points this weekend, this grinding out win today could turn out be crucial.

Tough win against a well coached West Ham side, the sort of game we would have lost last season.

Would love to be there today, feels like Spring, blue skies, sunshine and a few pre and post game in the Star Bar.
