David Sullivan has revealed why no directors went to see West Ham lose 2-1 at Manchester City - they are sick of their 'poor' away form.
With the Hammers having won only twice on the road during this Barclays Premier League season and three points from safety with three matches remaining, Sullivan, joint chairman David Gold and vice-chairman Karren Brady chose to watch Sunday's clash on television.
'The honest reason we were not there?' asked Sullivan. 'Watching our poor away performances week after week and not having the ability to influence things has impacted on us. My family think I'm mad devoting so much time and money to the club.

'We couldn't influence the result (so) we donated the cost of the private plane to charity. We thought that would do more good.'
His words come a week after he questioned the commitment of players such as Matthew Upson - who limped off after 26 minutes at Eastlands - Danny Gabbidon and Kieron Dyer, whose contracts expire in June.
Sullivan, 62, said his side had only a '25 to 30 per cent chance' of staying in the top flight. But he defended his absence from their ninth away defeat of the season.

'None of us (the directors) draw any salary or expenses from West Ham,' he said. 'We are not £20,000 or £60,000-a-week footballers.
'We only took 1,100 supporters yesterday. Like us, the bulk of the West Ham United supporters preferred to watch it on TV.'

How can you invest in a club and expect good weeks all the time? Unless you're Spurs it aint happening.

Im sure the private jet he owns is more comfortable, on time, doesnt smell like tramps and piss and first class doesnt mean a hankey on a head rest
 
Sullivan and Gold are fucking clueless about football. The fact they don't have a clue and still intefer with the playing staff is what makes it even worse. Got to feel for West Hams fans having these two c**ts as owners.

Unlike the broke as fuck owners that nearly made them non existant. They may be cnuts but they at least wont let the club die as they dont view it as just an asset, infact its anything but an asset
 
These are the type of owners most fans cry out for these days, i.e. good solid English owners. We were lucky with Wardle and Co years ago. We hadn't much but they were as decent as they come. Without foreign ownership the prem would go back to zero.

No im sorry your right, chancers like the people that owned West Ham before, Portsmouth, Notts County, Us, Liverpool and now Blackburn are much better for the game then 2 people who genuinly care about the club. Like i said they are cnuts with what they say but they wont just let the club die

So what. It is meaningless to them in the scheme of things. I like west ham but them cnuts are clueless twats.
