First brace for a debutant since Sergio.

A bit laboured due to our short preseason and not quite being in our pomp just yet, but we generally controlled it like the class act that we are and there were great individual performances throughout the team.
I went for Eddie, he took a bang in the first half but did mostly everything right all game, saves made as required etc.

I could’ve just as easily voted for Haaland, DeBruyne, Rodri etc. but though Ed deserved a little bit of recognition for playing through the pain.

Want to give it to Haaland but Rodri was absolutely incredible.

Haaland very good but Rodri was fantastic and so gave it to him.

Went for Ake just to give someone else a shout, low key excellent all round defending. Did the simple stuff very very well. He’s turned out much better than I originally gave him credit for, fair play to him

Some of Cancelos passes were ridiculously deft. Rodri was once again masterful and Ake and Ruben immense. Haaland was probably MOTM but it’s close.
