West Ham Post Match Thread - CITY ARE CHAMPIONS

To all Manchester City supporters

As a lifelong Liverpool fan, can I offer my congratulations to fans players and staff @ Manchester City on lifting the title. I can remember when you were struggling in the 3rd tier and was always impressed with how loyally you fans stuck with your club, so now I am delighted to see you enjoying the good times. Obviously I'd rather we had won, but if we were to finish runners-up, there is no club I'd want to win more than yourselves, as you also play the way the game should be played, to attack and outscore rather than the bus-parking of outfits like Chelsea.

Best wishes for next season, and we'll see you in the Champions League!

Fair does, decent post.

Having said that......................

We are the champions,

We are the champions,

No time for scousers

cos we are the champions of the prem.

(ah f it can't do this editing shit properly when still half cut from last night {Mrs finally made me stop watching re runs at about 3 Am})

Was it just me but was anyone else surprisingly calm about the game? After the stress of the QPR game which cost me 10 years of my life and the professional way we closed out the Villa game I never thought we were in danger in this game (the fact that WHU did not have an effort on target may have helped ;-) )

Come on Cityyyyyyy

Just unbelievable, a perfect end to a thrilling season. Have to admit, I was pessimistic when Manuel came in, because like many I love Bobby so much for everything he did for the club and didn't want to see him go. But Pellegrini won me over in no time and he has done an incredible job from day one. The quiet man came to Manchester in the middle of the night, and quietly and immediately set about his business away from everyones eyes, whilst the media were all over the Swamp reporting on Moyes and the gang.

We just got straight to business. You have to give huge credit to Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begistrain with how they immediately set out to make amends after last season, getting transfer business done early, their choice in Manuel - and now the whole exciting global brand and future we have ahead of us in New York City and Melbourne.

Thank you Sheihk Mansour

p.s. I was absolutely delighted to see a good ol fashioned pitch invasion afterwards. It shows we have so much passion for our team. Why are some people criticising the fans for running on to pitch? We just won the title, and it was brilliant to see a pitch invasion. Get behind ur team and go mental. Weirdos.

I hope to see a pitch invasion every year.

have had to take day off work to much alcohol consumed sunday..In the end we were never under any threat from west ham,and kompany's goal just cleared any lingering nerves.Brilliant team performance also and in reality the best team has won the premier league..WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS....

Mercenaries win, absolutely gutted, only play for money, don't dive, don't cheat, don't bite, dont racial abuse, don't ask for transfers, don't kill other supporters, don't want a candle lighting for them every game, not the neutrals favourite, don't score the most goals, don't concede the least goals, don't play attractive football, don't park the bus. Yet still CHAMPIONS.

Over the moon. Such a professional performance yesterday. Atmosphere was brilliant. It's the stuff I have always dreamt of. Never would have seen this a month ago when we were down and out. Buzzing!
