West Ham supporters deserve a mention IMO.

Somewhere talking sensible nonsense ; )
Just like to wish West Ham supporters all the best in their fight for survival. Always had a soft spot for the Hammers, they are a proper club with loyal fervent fans who must be suffering and soul searching right now after being stuffed 5-0 at Forest last weekend, and now at ours 6-0. They kept singing and their sense of humour right to the end. Very similar club to how we used to be not too long back., so fair play to them I say...

Although a Bobby Zamorra look a like totally lost the plot in the 2nd half and wanted to storm the City end. Harry Potter showed up as well, and he took it OK, even when he fell over on the way out.

I dedicated my opening paragraph in the post match thread to them as I thought they deserved the first mention in my post.

They were brilliant tonight. Full of decent banter, took our banter back well (apart from two lads who fucking lost it...funny as fuck those two!) and supported their team throughout the game with pride. I don't think there was a more than 90seconds of the game where they weren't singing.

Credit to them. I hope they get a good manager, get their players back fit and stay up!

-- Thu Jan 09, 2014 12:13 am --

I reckon he was so angry he would have actually taken on the full East Stand, not one of those "hold me back, hold me back" ones neither. He would have got tatered but have you ever seen an angrier fan? Piss funny!

I hope someone took a picture on their phone. Would love to see a gif of that.

Thought generally they were first class with great gallows humour. There by the grace of God goes us.

For many many years that was us following City around the country on the end of some desperate hammerings. 10-0 in one week at Anfield, losing 4-0 at Palace in league cup q/f, defeat at Lincoln, Wycombe, Edgeley Park (several times), I could go on for hours

Counting our blessings now, truly living the dream

Spot on mate. I think you can only fully appreciate our current fortunes if you have been there to the depths of the 2nd old third division watching us get beat by some nomarks whilst their supporters took the piss ever so gleefully!

"We're not really here" is not in I/t. Fucking cringe at some of the memories I have of suffering our misfortunes, then dreading Monday morning to be dissed by some cocky armchair rag I wanted to snot!

FFS, we used to go mental in celebrating a corner in our darkest days, let us never forget those days but be ever so thankful of where we are now!

West Ham fans, you are mustard, bravo...

They were excellent tonight in and outside the ground on the way out. They deserve better.
