Funny how Ake has become peak Maldini whilst he's been injured!

There's a reason why he has not nailed down a place. He's a back up at our level and nothing more.

The disrespect shown to Fernandinho today is fucking disgusting.
Yes he's got old, lost a yard in pace but still holds his own and has done a job in defence because our 3 best defenders are injured.

Too late to experiment but I wonder if Rodders at Centre back with Dinho in front may be more productive in our current predicament.

I trust Pep to get it done.

Don't like one bit that we're gonna be facing Steven Gerrad's Villa as our final game but it is meant to be this way, either he will have his redemption moment of sorts or we'll rub it in his face again. Quiet fitting that a decade from 93.20 moment we might be in a for a similar heart pounding game to win the league, it's great when you come through as winners but sucks the life out of you when you're living the moment. Hoping and praying for a easier final day.

Today's draw is a good result considering the first half and determination our team showed to comeback should be enough to carry us on the final day. After today's hiccups, everyone will be on top of their game against Villa. Cmon City
Nearly as bad as facing Mark Hughes with QPR on 13/5/12 with Nedum, Shawny and Joey Barton in their line up with them staring relegation in the face - although ultimately they stayed up.

Its frustrating because 9/10 times he scores but for some crazy reason he went the same side as his last pens, Fabianski read it.

He's scored some big pens for us recently (Dortmund, Spurs, Arsenal) so it is what it Is, we go again.

However, Kyle Walker said on Radio he hasn't given up playing again this season, I hope hes fit enough to play againts Villa because Zinchenko, Ferna and Cancelo are all midfielders playing in defense

We have 7 days rest until our next game, whilst Villa play on Wednesday evening, we should beat them comfortable at home.
Villa play Burnley on Thursday.

Seems you do not understand much.

Since 2009 almost 100,000 penalty shots have been taken on football pitches around the globe. 75.49% of those resulted in goals, 17.57% were saved by goalkeepers, 4.07% went wide and 2.87% hit posts or crossbars.

Posters go on about how easy it is to score a Pen yet 1 in 4 is not scored. Mahrez's record is better than that, but his today was saved. Thats football and to open the thread with your post just encourages an uneducated pile on. Shame on you.

Riyad telegraphed it today and didn't go hard and low so he deserves a bit of stick but not too much and certainly he shouldn't be scapegoated. As you point out, not every penalty gets scored, unless Yaya takes it...

Ake has probably been our third most consistent player this season.

Ake's been immense the last stretch of the season, that's evident to see.

Dinho's legs are fucked, that's not disrespectful but a fact. If Antonio stayed on his feet we'd have been in trouble. All too often Dinho just stared right at him, not a notice for the ball.

There's a reason he hasn't played as much this season to you know...

Cannot remember a match when Pep's substitutes won City a game ?
That may be because he seldom makes early or proactive substitutions. He seldom makes use of all 3 substitutions, or all 5 in Europe.
We only have a couple of players who can break down a packed, 9 or 10 men defence.
Phil Foden is one of those people who can unpick the lock of a blanket defence.
Why was Phil not brought on ?
City have drawn away to Palace & West Ham away.
Don't think Pep used a sub in either game ?
Very disappointing we didn't see up the League tonight...

Yawn.

He didn't make a change because no one deserved the hook.

For me the selection was slightly wrong
If Ake wasn't fit I'd have put Rodri at CB and played Gundogan further up, criminal that foden didn't start.
However if ake wasn't fit why is he on the bench?

The penalty misses are ridiculous to be honest, been happening now for nearly 3 seasons.
