He's not featured much though when it matters PS.

Don't get me wrong, he's steady, and a decent back up. Unfortunately steady doesn't make the difference in the big games.

Pep wants 11 ball players, old skool defenders don't really fit.

Next Sunday needs 11 big players with experience and confidence, does he have those.
 
Can we not just bang in those old painkilling injections into one of Stones, Dias or Walker for one game? They have all summer to recover. It's weird how at a vital time of the season the old typical City has reappeared.

Dinho's legs are fucked, that's not disrespectful but a fact. If Antonio stayed on his feet we'd have been in trouble. All too often Dinho just stared right at him, not a notice for the ball.

I know, and being fit and establishing yourself in a top side is just as important as ability.
For a player to feature periodically he has to be top drawer.

Managed by a Dipper whose playing club has a rather high number of asthmatics for a professional football club. These people will always explain who they have a duty towards, rather than upholding the notion of doing the right thing by other clubs.

Others have possibly pointed this out previously, but the quality of chances that City allow their opponents does not help our goalkeeper. Invariably one on ones or opponents hitting us on the break with no defender in sight.

Part of the downside of a team that is attacking enough to typically score a 100 goals a season despite missing half our penalties and playing against 12 men most games.

It is astonishing how many great chances we give away, compared to half chances

I swear every successful attack against us feels like it's gonna be a goal

Personally I’d still expect him to save more then he does.

While obviously not as bad, at times he reminds me of that useless lump Margetson we used to have in goal. You see a shot or a header, think, "He must save that" then groan as you realise it's gone in.

That second goal today shouldn’t go in though. It’s a chance certainly but he doesn’t save us when needed. Look at Allison yesterday. There when called upon numerous times. 100% of the shots he faced today went in and not for the first time. People defend him because they aren’t howlers but similarly if he saved that second today you would t go wow what a save. I don’t know what the answer is but for now I’d just love our goalkeeper to keep goal.

It was not a horrible game!
It was, however, frustrating, in that
Jesus should have been awarded a pen in the first half, which could have changed the way the game was played if we had scored it.
Frustrating that we kept on playing down the left which was proving fruitless.
Frustrating in the fact that after we scored,, Wham proceeded to time waste and kill our momentum.
Frustrating that a couple of subs weren't made during the match (which I understand, because Pep wants to play the strongest group of players available next week).
(Still feel that Zinchenko should have been subbed though as things weren't working out for him.)
Frustrating because Mahrez missed a great opportunity to win the match.
In the end, we didn't lose, which keeps the outcome of the title in our own hands.
We fight to the end , because we are Manchester City!

Yep, because opponents sit back but because we are pressing ahead, the City end is like a 5v5 game.
