There is literally zero chance that Pep will be allowing the players to think it’s a won game. And there is literally zero chance after the Villa “incident” that players like Rodri (or anyone much else) will be thinking it’s a won game.
The nervy part’s been done, though, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The players will play with the utmost seriousness, the utmost rigour. They usually do.

Because the the whole world will be watching. Their managers last game in charge they’ll want to send him out on a high. They’ve been pumped in their last two games. Listen I hope you’re right but if you think they’re going down without a fight you’re in for a shock
I never said they were going down without a fight. I never said they were going to roll over either. I simply don't agree with your notion that because eyes are on City's game that means West Ham have an incentive to up theirs and go all out in a blaze of glory.

By that same logic, with all eyes of the world on City, won't we also be fighting tooth and nail, with fire in our hearts, determination in our souls and damned be to all who stand in our wayedness?

See, it's dumb. West Ham have no reason to play as you suggest, with an added fervour of desire to defeat us other than it being a game of football they want to win. They'll want to get it over with. Poor away record, manager's last game and has shown he's really not that arsed, nothing to pay for, against a team fighting for the title. Yep, I see a real go down fighting spirit there.

Well let’s hope so. 4-0 twenty minutes in please

I hope we win and West Ham play well like Tottenham did. Although, I do not advocate any great saves by our goalie. Blinking heck, I thought being good would be easy.

Will they hell fight tooth and nail. They’ve got nothing whatsoever to play for. This is not QPR, who were fighting relegation; this is also not QPR, with a City team who had not got near a credible trophy in decades.
3-0.
if i was one of thier supporters id expect players to do that every game, they are well paid professionals - let alone personal pride.

I feel like we get every team's best punch. Chelsea raised their level against us, Tottenham after looking shite the last couple months played some good football last night, and there is plenty of other examples this season. Everybody wants to beat the champions and spoil the 4-peat.

We will get West Ham's best, just need to put them away like we should.

West Ham at home to win the league has been the most comfortable of our previous final day "must wins" so hopefully it's the same again. Brighton away was fortunately a very quick turnaround from being 1-0 down.

Ultimately the Villa game is fresh in each of our players minds. And also in Pep's. Gerrard wanted to beat us for obvious reasons, he changed his tactics and Pep admitted he wasn't expecting them. He tweaked things, made changes and we won.

Sometimes in the drama of those final games the context is lost. Villa had a lot of players who have been instrumental in their success this season, they weren't as bad as Gerrard made them look! Also, our back 4 was Cancelo, Laporte, Ferny, Stones. We had plenty missing.

Against QPR we'd have won that game far more comfortably if Yaya hadn't gone off injured in my opinion. He was the one who had been there and done it in the biggest of occasions.

We've got a great squad full of winners who have been there and done it and will not be complacent. And we have a West Ham side who will not be bothered about spoiling the party with a manager who is on his way out and would probably prefer a post-match knees up than spoiling a party.
It actually wasnt a must win
