The sole worry I have for this game is that the players want to put a top performance in for Moyes and manage to do that for his last game. If he was there next season and it was business as usual i'd have zero concerns based on their form. But you're right they do have a decent side and the Moyes situation is the other factor at play.

Suppose there's an argument that the players have failed to play for him plenty of times this season but we'll not know until Sunday how much they're wanting/capable of putting into one single game.

As I've said before, if both teams play their best we win this comfortably. If we're off it even to the extent we were on Wednesday night, it's touch and go. We've had some excellent displays of late (Fulham, Wolves, rags) but some perhaps questionable ones and if not meaning necessarily poor or without reason, at least below our usual standard (Spurs, Forest)

A big performance from us would be magic and see us over the line. Energy and smother them in and around their own area from the get go please.
Spurs and Forest were 2nd of back to back road games played in 4 day windows. This upcoming match is on 4 full days rest in between matches and at the ETIHAD. One has to look at Villa 4-1, Luton 5-1, and Wolves 5-1 to get a realistic feel for where City are heading into this match. Anything short of a comprehensive win would be very surprising. Anything but a win would be considered catastrophic, simple as...

Shame about Eddie but he wouldn’t have played in the final anyway and we can have faith in ortega v the Ammers for sure. Shows it was right to bring him off, maybe should have done straight away.

If Stevie G alone could make his players score two against us then he's a better manager than many gave him credit for (in which case why did they finish mid table). Brighton didn't have anything to play for and we also went 1-0 down against them as well on the final day.

No, we were the architects of our own undoing on all occasions. It's a nasty habit and it's got to stop! More like 2014, please!
Yes, a repeat would be good 10 years on.
Maybe there wasn't the same drama of other final days, but that was an enjoyable afternoon as we were so comfortable, and in truth coasted towards the end . A similair scenario would do this time, get 2 or 3 up (hopefully) and make subs and protect our 'big boys' for the rags. West Ham were on the beach that day and might be this Sunday, but I'm certainly not taking anything for granted (and neither will Pep be).
There is also every probability that Arsenal will comfortably beat Everton to keep us on our toes!

im not sure we could pick an easier game.

Peps record against west Ham - 8 wins out of 8 at home in the PL, 6 out of 8 away and 2 draws. smashed them away in the FA cup, one sort of defeat on pens in the league cup. God know the aggregate score but it would be massive they do not park the bus.

Moyes basically already gone and no player going to be playing for him, their form is shit.

Most of the players will be focussing on not getting injured ahead of the Euros or dreaming of their holiday they’ll be getting on later that night probably.

They could have done that several times this season.
Had they done that he wouldn't be leaving.
