The opening three questions for Pep Guardiola during his pre-West Ham press conference from BBC's Simon Stone: "Do you think you and your team will get the credit that they deserve for the achievement that they might create?"
◾️
"Do things like that bother you; do you think players should be acknowledged for winning four in a row?"

We won't get the credit from anybody else, that's for sure thanks to the 115.

Lots of people even saying we paid Son to miss that one-on-one on Tuesday night, and not just Arse fans.

I know the standard of sports journalism in this country is low but f*ck me, I'm surprised Pep didn't decide to laugh in their faces.

In the QPR match it got a bit nervy in the stadium when it was still 0-0 and news came through that rooney had scored at Sunderland, meaning as things stood the rags were winning the league. So if Saka scores an early goal on Sunday the mood will get equally tense. As with QPR we need a Zabaleta-type goal before half-time. Said to my niece at the start of the second half "this lot won't score if they play till midnight." That turned out well, same again will do.

Not an easy game to call. Kudos, Bowen, Antonio and Paqueta all very dangerous players and their solid defence makes West Ham are a natural counter attacking team. We need to be very careful with our possession and we don't need to concede any corners. I'll feel a lot better with an early goal but wouldn't be surprised if its 0-0 at half time.
Solid defence ? You've been watching a different West Ham.

I wish! I don't know why but I'm an absolute wreck this week. I'm not usually like this, not even for the CL final or any of the previous "must wins". I put some of it down to everybody else (outside of us) pretty much saying we've already won it. If I was in any way connected to West Ham I'd be pretty pissed off with that, and with nothing to play for the pressure is off.

Obviously I've gone for the win but I think it will be a nervy late goal.
Settle down mate...

I don’t think it will. With experience comes wisdom!

We've been in this situation before. I'm sure many have a sense of "we won't always win in this situation", but it's just another game. There have been plenty of games this season where we've not performed our not got the result. Spurs away was a very difficult game considering our record there and we got the job done.

It was a good warm up because it showed that the group still have nerves, suffer from the pressure. Just like in the CL final. It showed just what can restrict us in terms of getting the job done. And it showed that Pep and the players can overcome those emotions and improve in order to succeed.

Pep will have had that Villa game on repeat this week I'm sure. He will remind the team just what is at stake but that working hard and sticking to our game and being calm is the best way to succeed. Not to worry about what happens if we lose, but to be positive that we can win.

It's a tricky game like they all are. But it's not a team fighting for anything. It's not a manager who used to be an Arsenal legend. They're 9th. Nothing financial at stake. Moyes is off. Players looking forward to the summer tournaments or a beach.

And results wise there's not much between West Ham and Everton - 4pts. Everton have the 4th best defence in the league and are very much settled in staying compact and being hard to beat. Their manager is staying. They're unbeaten in their last 5, winning 4.
