West Ham United Thread | 2025/26 - Owner Sullivan revealed as PL boss under investigation (P12)

Really - feel free to expand on your reasons???

Born in Manchester, moved to east London at age 6 and went to school with a load of hammers. Enjoyed the back and forth with them but it's still ingrained in me to want them to fail.

Would have preferred Spurs to go down as it's better drama but happy to see West Ham go down. Hopefully they do a Leicester and go into free fall. Bunch of spivs.

What a wanker comment.

Proper football club, with a support most clubs would dream of.

Applauded our away when when we went down.

The more I think about it, the more I think you’re a fucking knob head to be honest.

I gave my reasons

Calling someone a knob head and wanker just because of something as unimportant as football haha grow up, it's not that serious.

Yet you still hold a footballing grudge that goes back to playground banter.

It's not a grudge though, just a bit of fun and don't mind them getting relegated. I already clarified I'd prefer Spurs to go down out of the two.

I certainly wouldn't sit behind a screen calling fellow city fans a "wanker" and "fucking knobhead" for sharing an opinion/feeling. Obviously that poster is still 15 or never developed since that age.

One less London club what's not to like?

West Ham are liked by older fans for 2 reasons.
The 1966 World Cup and Alf Garnett.
Why @blue_danube is getting such stick I've no idea.
Myself, I feel for the fans as I've yet to meet a bad one but why the pile on?

Never been sure about the love-in with West Ham fans. I get the stuff about when we went down in 87 but how about those who went to Upton Park supporting City prior to that? It was never a pleasant experience.
But I'd have preferred Spurs to go down like all others.

Whilst I don't mind West Ham at all, and agree I'd rather they be in the league than not, stuff like "proper football club" is generic nonsense.

Means absolutely fuck all, same as when folk go on about "history" "big clubs" it's all relative, there's no standard.

Back in the 70's and 80's most away grounds where not the most pleasant experience. I always found West Ham fans only made it bad for those away fans giving it large or looking for a scap. Scarfers were left alone.

I've no issue with the Hammers whatsoever. Far from it. But then, coming from a family of staunch West Ham fans, I probably have a soft spot for them.
Spurs going would have been preferable, but it didn't happen, so I can still dislike them next season when we visit/they visit us. But the West Ham/Millwall games will be interesting.
