West Ham V Wolves

Watched this on the Internet

wolves played some good football, but one of those games where the 1st goal was crucial. WHU were playing under pressure

Bad result for us. don't want WHU involved in relegation scrap on the last day of the season because it will be very difficult getting 3 points out of them if that's the case
I disagree.

If they're definitely up or down, they have nothing to play for, so the pressure is off, and they play with freedom. If they have to win, the pressure is on (like tonight), and there will be more mistakes, and more of a team that we can break at.

As for West Ham going down they have little to worry about as I doubt Burnley and Hull will obtain 30 points this season.

Wolves I have watched closely this season and they make the most of what talent they have at the club and I said along time ago they will not go down.

I rate them the equal of Bolton and Blackburn and ahead of Wigan and West Ham on performances this season.

The only side that has over achieved so far this season is Birmingham and watch them collect little if anything in the remaining matches they have left.

On to more important things and the fight for fourth I have little doubt fourth spot will be decided on way or the other come the last day.

Its between Spurs and us for fourth and if we win tonight I think 4th spot is safely locked up for us.

Couldn't believe what i saw tonight, Wolves were all over them first half, i said to my dad, if a 3rd goes in now just watch the place empty and the chants start,

not later than 30 seconds it happened, the cries of 'your not fit to wear the shirt' unfortunetely reminded me of the old city days'

west ham wil stay up, they just have enough quality, plus i can't see hull and burnley winning many more games, the 3 who are in the bottom now imo will be the 3 that go down, obviously pompey anyway.

No matter how badly West Ham play, I can't see Burnley or Hull scoring another four points this season to overtake them.

Its gona b an exciting end to the season, in terms of teams contending for title, 4th & europa, but i gota feeling relegation battle will be a little less exciting

Think it's pompy, hull & burnley down IMO, but hope im proved wrong, and end up a 4-8 team battle for survival.

Would love to see Bolton go down...not sure why though

Went to the BBC hammers board to see if they were in melt down after such a disastrous result.

And what do I find but some scandalous comments about our former manager.

@ Alex, you couldnt get a more tactically brain dead coach than Mark Hughes.

and

Hope Zola gets a longer leash. But if he is sached, I hope WH get a coach with fresh ideas from outside the PL (could be the championship) rather than recycle the same tactically inept have-beens like Hughes, Brown, etc.

Should we start legal proceedings?

I imagine 4th place, everyone going crazy, pitch invasion aaand us losing the qualifying round. :) If we were to get 4th we wouldn't be in the CL proper just yet.

Celtic in the Qualifying round, with luck them with minus Keane as he always scores V us and a typical city will be late Samaras winner to put Celtic through lol.
But yes, we probably will be unseeded so could get a really tough draw, saying that im sure we are the team the seeded teams will want to avoid

Got a feeling that last game of the season west ham will need a win to stay up and we will need a win for 4th place!!!
and tevez will send them down.

I wonder what price you would get for that right now? A goal that also takes us to the CL.

West Ham have disturbing parallels with us during Franny's reign.

Fans who have suffered false promises and turmoil for years, watching their best players being flogged on for buttons and replaced with journeymen.

A total fantasist chairman/owner who rides in on a wave of optimism after years of poor management in the boardroom, telling everyone how they're going to be signing the best young talent in the world-only to be quickly sussed as he then backtracks and tells the world they won't be paying anyone silly wages, the club is "in a mess" and they need to "cut back."

A decent footballing man at the helm, who has been publicly undermined under difficult circumstances and who is not "their man"

I like West Ham and I like their fans. They share many traits with us as a club-but I think that they've been in freefall since Sullivan took over and are in big danger of not picking up another point all season.
