I'd like to know where Danny Dyer was in all this mess...

They both claim to be East End teams, but West Ham fans say Millwall is South London like us with the Rags being outside Manchester

Looking on there it seems they are split over last nights events, some are annoyed at the behaviour, others thought it was no more than was expected and a good few think it is a massive overreaction and a bit of a return of when going to the football was good, pointing out that no one was hurt in the invasions and they'll be wrongly punished, because they are West Ham.

That's part of it. Though the rivalry stems back 80-90 years to when it was about the dockers. A lot of their support came from the East End of London as that's where they lived and the club was right in the docklands where they worked. Thames Ironworks (now West Ham) were their rivals.

Of course all of this is irrelevant now, but this kind of stuff just lives on generation after generation.

Probably filming a new show for Bravo called Worlds Deadliest Teddy bears

There is a deep-rooted hatred between Millwall and West Ham fans. This goes back more years than anyone cares to remember. It's not just about football and it hasn't been for years, it's about a mutual loathing for one another that gets deeper ingrained with each passing year. Banning the respective clubs from cup competitions and/or docking points will not concern these supporters one bit. They are concerned only with the tribal mentality some football supporters adapt, and the need to fight one another - the games themselves are largely irrelevant.

Generations of Millwall fans will have had stories of their hatred for West Ham passed down from dads/grandads/elder brothers etc, so it's no surprise that to them the most important thing in football is to continue this self-perpetuating hatred. And the same goes with West Ham. They too will have had it etched into their very souls that Millwall are the devil incarnate and must be destroyed at all costs.

This sort of thing has absolutely nothing whatsover to do with football. Never has and never will.

Most of them on the pitch were 40 something, over weight, tattoed racists with air max on and a lust for the "good old days". The stereotypical West Ham fan.

And then there were the youngsters with no tops on copying their "heroes" - the next in line to fill the shoes of the above.

Was only a month ago that City and Celtic fans were "fighting" i.e throwing stones, bottles and charging at fences.

No West Ham or Milwall fan for that matter can claim that they are getting wrongly punished. There were three pitch invasions during the game, mass brawls outside the ground and somebody was even stabbed. There was always going to be some form of aggro when these two teams met but it is clear to every other football fan that pitch invasions and this kind of behaviour is not acceptable. Hope the FA make a stand on this, it wasn't as if it was just one or two idiots from each club then it could possibly be overlooked, but in this case action does need to be taken.
