Whaley Bridge shooting

It’ll come down to how the farmer explains what’s happened and whether that tallies in anyway with what the injured guy says.

Also, if, like Martin, he’s shot them in the back on their way out, he’ll get time.

Self defence vs proportion of reasonable action.

I remember the one a few years back where the elderly gentleman stabbed some thieving piece of shit to death for breaking into his home. Eventually he was cleared, but had to move because of fear of reprisals from the cunts family. They even put flowers where he had been killed.

The Martin case was just fucking terrible, as it seems is this. If you break into someone’s home expect the worst if you’re caught.

Didn't the last one centre on the fact the scrote was leaving the scene when shot meaning not self defence
Pretty much.

Even for military personnel, you aren't allowed to shoot someone in the back whilst on guard duty (effectively, someone no longer posing a direct threat to life).

There is only really one way to avoid a murder conviction in this situation, and that is to issue a warning if possible, and only fire if you believe your life is in immediate danger and there is no other way to prevent an attack on you or others in the property. Give the perpetrator a chance to walk away.

I think in Martin’s case he was living alone in a remote farm. The fear would have drove him to do what he did. If he lived in a built up area with close by neighbours maybe it would have been different. By doing what he did he stopped a potential return of the thieving little twat, possibly with family in tow. He also prevented anyone else being a victim of his thieving little twat ways.

He also committed manslaughter, however much sympathy one can have with his actions.
