Does he realise that he still has a contract with us? I'd really hate if we got him back, he's pathetic and obviously happy to be a big fish in a small pond.
 
Sue him for breach of contract. Make him come back and if he refuses take him for what he's worth. It's not about the money, it's about the principal of it.

He won't though. Because in his mind he's playing in the best league in the world. He's surrounded himself with sycophants who tell him the English Prem and European football in general is not good enough to recognise his genius, so he stays in a Mickey Mouse league where he knows everything he says and does is greeted with mass adulation from his hero-worshipping drones.

The rest of the world knows that outside of his comfort zone he just can't hack it.

To me the man lives in a parrallel universe. And he's bloody welcome to it.
