I can't fucking believe Daily Mail is printing some of the comments in this article. I live in a country where 99.99% of us are white, I guess you could learn names of all black people in the country in 15 minutes and yet criminals are killing, kidnapping, raping, robing etc...

You have missed something. Take a look at the reader's comments.

I looked at the article which is neutral and the first page of comments. If you look deep enough you will always find something to be offended at that suits your agenda. Makes no difference what colour the attackers were. They are c****s. End of.

To some people here as soon as they click that and see that it's not white people they don't find it as offensive, just like they find more appalling some no marks comment on a story of a gang of black men kidnapping and torturing a white male off a British street....now if it vice versa and was a gang of white men on a black man...imagine what this thread would be about.

I don't really see the point of comments facilities on newspaper websites if they are censored so only 'approved' views are allowed.

So you'd allow people to post the names and addresses of accused/convicted people? You'd allow people to post 'thank fuck the woman is dead' by a disgruntled ex on a report about a woman who was killed by a drink driver leaving her 3 kids without a mother. What about 'let's all meet up tonight at the Red King on Market St about 7 and go beat up some black/white/Jewish/Muslim/Asian people'


People go off topic - as they do on here - and people say inflammatory things that serve no purpose and will just start a war of words. Then the whole thing has nothing to do with the published story. There are forums for debates.


If there was a string of comments by lets say a load of rags commenting on a City story and they were saying things about how our fans constantly chant Munich songs at every home game and disrespect the poor guys who died in that crash - would you be happy to read that? Then there's talk of vandalising the Etihad with pro united slogans? Stirring up anti-City feeling with a series of lies

You don't see what they take off so it's almost impossible to say if the comments should be allowed or not.

Probably better leaving them to their censorship, yes there will be some comments that maybe should be left but I'd bet there's a lot that need to go.

I think the only way you can have an uncensored comments page or forum is to take away the shield of anonymity that a lot of those commentors are hiding behind. Even then it's opening a can of worms.
