What about a wall of Remembrance

Following another sad passing of one of our fellow blues, what about City doing something special for the grieving family. I'm sure there must be someone on here that has contacts at the club and could put this into practice.

Maybe a wall of remembrance within the new developments that are going to take place for all loyal blues that have sadly left for the better view.

After all we are all one big blue family.

What are your thoughts?????????

There's a remembrance garden to the left of the main entrance - I think thats where people can spread stadium ashes as don't think your allowed to do it within the stadium

There is usually a minutes silence for all fans that have passed away during the boxing day home game

I know all this, however I think a more perminent and personal remembrence wall would be superb and cost very little. similar to the leave a legacy wall at epcot!!!!

Thats not a remembrance wall, its one where people paid £40 for around 10 years to have their names on a perspex wall (there are no plaques), some of the fans are sadly no longer with us and have been put on by their families, most are still with us.

Under the circumstances and with recent bad events surrounding our owners brother,it would be more than fitting for our fellow Blues.

Great sentiment there but I think the logistics could be difficult.

After all, it is very difficult to measure how one fan's commitment is greater than anothers. And to just include the recently departed, for example, would be an insult to those who have relations still in their memories (who were "active" in the 30's, 40's and 50's) who they feel should be included.

Not knocking the sentiment as it is obviously heartfelt, just think it would be a difficult proposition to actually see come to fruition.

I honestly think that taking into consideration all the development around the ground etc and the City Street project this should be a feasible project for the club to consider great idea

Great idea mate, a huge wall of remembrance for blues that have sadly passed away. Maybe have MVF 23 linked into it too.

Id definately back your idea mate. My gran passed away on 2nd Jan 2009 and she was a huge blue and her final journey was passed Eastlands as this is what she wanted. It would be nice to have her name visible in remembrance at the club she adored

We are not talking about a rembrance wall for a single event, its one that relatives of the deceased blue can look at proudly that one of their ancestors trod the very same steps you are now. I think it could look remarkable and the centre piece could be a deceased players section.

Just a small plaque on a wall, with your name, dob-dod and seat number, I actually thing you could charge a one off fee to have your name placed on it.

You could even charge a premium for prime spots, that could be reserved etc etc

Thats right, my kids are on one at epcot, etched plates are added to the granite when the plates are filled.

This could easily be done!
