Fucking hell. The wankfest whenever Van Buyten's name is mentioned is a total embarrassment.
He is/was a decent player but he only ever played a small amount of games for City and in world terms he is pretty average.
He would be nowhere near one of the top 5 centre halves in the Premier League but the way some people ejaculate as soon as his name is mentioned you'd think he was Baresi reincarnated.
Also, the praise that people give to him and the guff about him being one of some people's favourite City players is a complete insult to the many players who really have achieved things for this club

The only problem is Bayern just sold Lucio to Inter so won't want to get rid of Van Buyten as well.
