Can't think of 3, but a good one that comes to mind was the Jessica McClure trapped in a well one. And, Life for Ruth.. silly religious parents against a blood transfusion ne was another.

Never seen that film. Is it a good one?

A bit dated now but a great story. I actually remember it being in the news as a kid. If you`ve not seen it it`s worth a viewing.

Bridge on the River Kwai is absolutely not a true story. The real CO was not a collaborator, he sabotaged the death railway at every opportunity. The poor sod suffered abuse because of the film, based on a book by a Frenchman writing an allegory about Vichy France.

The real 'colonel Nicholson' was a fucking hero.
