Abbott Reserve 6.5% its £2.55 a pint which is cheaper than the regular Abbott. Definitely not a 12 pint session ale .
Brewdog Lost, brewed at a carbon negative brewery using 1/3rd less water and powered by wind turbines. Hoozah!
However there's much more at stake than saving the planet and more about it's taste to price ratio. Never supped this before but just seen it at Tesco at the incredible price of £10 for a pack of fifteen 440 ml tinnies at 4.5% abv.
The addition of Spalter Select and Saphir hops and vibrant citrus and herbal notes join together in unison, to combine a taste that's crisp and refreshing. Hvnt heard of spalter hops before but aparantly they belong to the Saaz group cultivated exclusively in the region around Spalt. https://www.hopsteiner.com/uk/variety-data-sheets/Spalter/
Anyway I like it as its palatable with a medium strengh taste and very refreshing. Not saying it's the finest brew in the world, but the taste is pleasant and the price makes one grin:
On a lighter note I believe Aldi's created a copycat brew of "Lost" called "Found" but only carrying a 4% abv and retailing at £2 a unit. Lost at this insane price is currently 66p a unit.
Luke 15:10. I was Lost but now I amFoundLost : /
Sounds good, I like the porters. A company called the Malt Miller do an all grain kit for Hokum for brewing your own. Not sure where you buy this ready to drink, haven't seen it onsale at the supermarkets? Is it on tap?I just had a pint of Hokum Stomp stout. It was good.
