Brilliant social commentary.

I've always viewed this as the definitive pop song, almost as if it objectively the definitive pop song. Over the years I've read it was seen as a Bee Gees rip off or a novelty single when it came out. But I only remember it when it was number one in 1975 when it was reissued.
