One of the most exciting records I've ever heard.
I met Phil Oakey once in Rotherham at a Heaven 17 gig, and told him I play this track every time I Dj Goth or Futurist..he listened politely and just nodded and smiled. The Lord knows what he was really thinking ,lol.
Earlier that same evening I'd nipped out the back of the venue for a fag and bumped into another of my idols, Richard Kirk of Cabaret Voltaire( he was DJ at the venue) and told him "Seconds too Late was my fav track of all time, he looked bemused. The only time I saw RK alive,so at least he knew that important fact before he passed....; )
Another superb Colin Thurstone production, a by product of Duran enjoying the benefits of having EMI as their recording label, a huge help for a new band, and they certainly made the most of it,tbf.
