Was going back through my 45s collection and found one by a mid-00s Manchester band who were called Performance.

They never really went anywhere and at one point they changed their name to We Are Performance. Decent group. A bit Human League, a bit VNV Nation, but clearly attached to that mid-00s post-punk revival/indie sleaze scene.
