A lot of die hard The Jam fans lost a bit of interest when SC came alomg.understandable as radically different approach/sound.I was a big Jam fan but never got into these at the time as I was whingeing they're not as good as The Jam. Can appreciate them a lot more now, need to listen to more of their stuff.
i remember when any Jam single went straight in at no.1 in the charts as their army of fans rushed out to buy it.
The SC started out with Speak like a child,moved on to the legendary Money go round before releasing the memorable A Paris EP headed by Long hot Summer ,and backed by Paris match.....
Solid Bond in your heart is prob my fav single...,with Strength of your nature best album track....fantastic band.
