I remember buying the single in France when it came out, those discs with the bigger holes so you needed that round plastic bit in the middle - to use the technical term - before I could play it.

Wasn't the big plastic bit missing because of jukeboxes? It's a great record from a pioneering band

Yeah, the larger hole size was for use in juke boxes and I think that practice also continued for whatever reason for some general market releases, albeit quite rare. I have a few bought from abroad which have the same size hole.

I dont think many of the viewers had seen anything like it,the first time i watched it i actually thought Siouxsie( and the drummer) were gonna spontaneously combust..this must have been their first ever prime time tv slot ( i may be wrong)and you could tell they were going for it.

Love in a Void was one of their early punk influenced tracks,never released as a single,which makes the 'Something Else' footage even more special, imo.

I brought a German import 12" with a French language version on the b side,still got it .Great band,great track,nothing like it before,nothing like it since.
Innovative.
