We had something like that, a record player in a case but I can’t remember the make. I do recall there was a 2p coin Sellotaped to the tone arm to stop the needle skipping! Then we had a GEC music centre for a few years and finally a Technics which we got from a hi-fi shop in Sale. All in the 70’s… My sister bought Seasons In The Sun… I’m slightly wistful now…Yeah..same here. My mum bought it from some old record shop down Moston Lane in the early 70s. She used to buy one single every time we went shopping down the "bottom shops" (give over!). Hmm... various New Seekers singles, Don McClean - American Pie, Nilson - Without You, Terry Jacks - Seasons in the Sun....loads more. We has one of those Bush record players in a case. You could stock up loads of 7"'s on it and you'd have a PLAYLIST!!
Taken from Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy and an excellent performance in central park.
A real seventies classic and remember buying the album as a teen from shorock and shorock on the walk.
